Mechatronics Engineering Student, Builder & AI Enthusiast

I build at the intersection of hardware, software, and AI, and I love turning complex technical ideas into content people actually enjoy. I'm looking for a Developer Advocate role where I get to do exactly that.

What I bring

Developer advocacy lives where engineering meets communication. I've spent years on both sides.

01

Build it

A hands-on engineer fluent in Python, C++, and microcontrollers, building real hardware and AI projects. That foundation is what makes example projects and demos credible.

02

Explain it

I turn complex concepts into clear, simple stories. I've done it professionally, translating between engineers and beginners, and it's the part of the work I enjoy most.

03

Share it

Native English and Arabic, fluent German, with a background in public speaking, media, and sales. I know how to make an audience genuinely care about an idea.

About

I'm finishing my Bachelor's in Mechatronics Engineering in Berlin, currently near the top of my class. I'm happiest where hardware, software, and AI meet, the point where code starts moving things in the real world.

What I enjoy most is the part after the build: explaining it. I've spent years translating between technical and non-technical people, from bridging engineers and new trainees on the shop floor, to being the public spokesperson for a Special Olympics team, to becoming the top-selling associate across Smartech's European stores by making technology genuinely click for people.

Right now I'm going deep on AI-native search, vector databases, RAG, and open-source AI, and looking for ways to turn what I learn into clear writing, sharp visuals, and example projects. I don't claim to know everything yet, and that's exactly why I want to grow as a developer advocate: building in public and learning out loud.

Experience

ConTejas

May – Jul 2026 · Internship

  • Built headcar, a mind-controlled 4WD rover that reads Muse 2 EEG brain activity and drives the motors through an ESP32 — the project featured below.
  • Developed the full hardware, firmware, and EEG-to-motor control pipeline end to end.

Sales Associate

Smartech Berlin (KaDeWe)

Oct 2024 – Present · Berlin, Germany

  • #1 seller across all of Smartech's European stores in Q4 2025, and again in March 2025.
  • Top 5 sales associate for Q4 2024 and Q1 2025.
  • Secured a collaboration between Smartech and DJI.
  • Translated complex technical products into clear, persuasive pitches for a broad retail audience.

Headcar — Mind-Controlled 4WD Rover

A four-wheel-drive rover you steer with your mind: it reads Muse 2 EEG brain activity and drives the motors through an ESP32, bridging neuroscience and mechatronics. Built end to end, from the firmware to the EEG-to-motor control pipeline.

Jarvis — Personal AI Assistant

A voice assistant inspired by Iron Man's J.A.R.V.I.S. — you talk to it and it talks back. A reasoning brain with persistent memory, live web search, and tools for weather, news, calendar, music and more, plus a laptop coding agent that writes and runs code.

Sermon Search — Semantic Search over 850+ Talks

Ask a question in plain English and get the exact moments sermons answered it — preacher, date, the passage itself, and a YouTube link that jumps to the precise second. OpenAI embeddings, sentence-aligned chunking, and a LanceDB vector store, built from parts to learn AI-native search and RAG from the ground up.

Pinocchio Bench — Do AI Agents Lie?

My assistant once claimed it did something it hadn't — so I built a benchmark to find out which models fabricate their actions. 270 runs across 9 free models with mock tools: what each one calls versus what it claims. A live leaderboard, a verbatim "lie gallery," and every transcript published — reproducible in one command.

Mark I HUD — Iron Man Vision in the Browser

Point your phone's camera and an AI heads-up display locks targeting brackets onto what it sees while Jarvis narrates in his own voice — the in-helmet view, in a web page. Live camera, computer vision, and hand-gesture control. The Mark I; the glasses are next.

Calculator — Command-Line Python

A simple command-line calculator in Python: enter two numbers and an operation (+, −, ×, ÷) and it returns the result. One of my hands-on projects while learning to read and write code — drilling the fundamentals like user input, conditionals, and clean control flow.

Speaking

Speaker — “Headcar: build your way out of any hole”

GitNation Meetup · sponsored by Sentry

Jun 2026 · Möckernstr. 120, Berlin

  • Live-demoed Headcar, a car you drive with your face via a Muse EEG headband.
  • A talk on the builder's era and vibe-coding: turning a wild idea into a working demo.
